Performance Evaluation of Silica–Graphene Quantum Dots for Enhanced Oil Recovery from Carbonate Reservoirs

چکیده

Nanomaterials have shown significant performances in enhancing oil recovery by reducing the interfacial tension (IFT) and contact angle (CA) of rock/crude oil/water system porous media. This is evaluated synergistic impact silica–graphene quantum dots (Si–GQDs) on IFT reduction wettability alteration for purpose from carbonate reservoirs. The were synthesized combining graphene oxide silicon nanoparticles (NPs) characterized using several analytical techniques. Both distilled water brine, as dispersion media, used to prepare nanofluids dispersing Si–GQDs at different concentrations 1000 10,000 ppm. main properties including pH, density, conductivity measured evaluate their quality performance Si–GQDs. In addition, prepared measurements angles both types water. obtained results show that DWN1000 nanofluid formulated ppm enables an additional 14.4% OOIP due a value 28.3 9.5 mN m–1, improving rheology behavior toward strong water-wet 134 61° angles.

A Pore Scale Evaluation of Produced Biosurfactants for Ex-situ Enhanced Oil Recovery

Microbial enhanced oil recovery (MEOR) is an economical method used to improve the oil recovery from reservoirs. In the MEOR techniques, by applying different microorganisms, a variety of products such as bioacid, biogas, biosurfactant, and biopolymer are generated, among which biosurfactant, one of the important metabolites, is produced by bacteria. It is worthy to note that bacteria are suita...

development of different optical methods for determination of glucose using cadmium telluride quantum dots and silver nanoparticles

a simple, rapid and low-cost scanner spectroscopy method for the glucose determination by utilizing glucose oxidase and cdte/tga quantum dots as chromoionophore has been described. the detection was based on the combination of the glucose enzymatic reaction and the quenching effect of h2o2 on the cdte quantum dots (qds) photoluminescence.in this study glucose was determined by utilizing glucose...

Modelling of wettability alteration processes in carbonate oil reservoirs

Previous studies have shown that seawater may alter the wettability in the direction of more water-wet conditions in carbonate reservoirs. The reason for this is that ions from the salt (sulphat, magnesium, calsium, etc) can create a wettability alteration toward more water-wet conditions as salt is absorbed on the rock. In order to initiate a more systematic study of this phenomenon a 1-D math...
